The BB30 bottom bracket allows you to pair 30mm spindle cranks to 42mm inner diameter bottom bracket shells. Cannondale pioneered this standard along with specially-designed cranks and many have found the benefits to them. Road versions have a 68mm width, MTB has 73mm. These are also the bearings you can use to replace bearings in PF30 cups.
You have two bearing choices. The first choice is our low drag, long life Standard Bearing, with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed balls. The second choice is our Coated Bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag.
BB30 was designed to make the bike lighter: no cups, threading, or redundant metal, plus a lighter, stiffer crank. That's why the crank spindle is 30mm, which was a big jump up from square-taper spindles.
CeramicSpeed standard bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. That's thanks to balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings.
In The Box
- 2x bearings
- 2x 1mm spacers
- 2x 0.5mm spacers

The new SRAM DUB crank standard, built on a 28.99mm spindle, allows for a more contamination-resistant BB design while retaining the ultra-efficient & long-lasting qualities CeramicSpeed Bottom Brackets are known for.
With an integrated dust cover for all models, the snug & secure fit not only fully protects the face of the bearing, but also delivers exceptional performance without any sacrifices. CeramicSpeed hand-built bearings carry the load from crank to frame with unparalleled durability & efficiency.
The SRAM DUB crank spindle requires the bearing contact points to be in a set and designated width, and all CeramicSpeed Bottom Bracket options perfectly match the bearing placement on the crank spindle with the required frame interface for nearly any model of bike. Without the use of unnecessary adapters or spacers, a quiet & stable platform is ensured throughout the life of the product.

PF30 road bottom bracket shells are 68mm wide like BB30, but have a greater diameter of 46mm so that bearings in cups can fit inside the shell. This kit contains all the parts you need to install a Quarq or SRAM 24/22mm crank in a BB30 road or cyclocross bike.
The cups have extended sleeves and are joined via a spacer tube, reducing the likelihood of creaking and increasing the reliability, as well as protecting internal cables from the crank spindle. The bundle comes with two cups with CeramicSpeed bearings installed. There are two bearing choices: Standard and Coated. The both feature super-smooth CeramicSpeed balls fitted in hardened-steel races. The Coated have an additional feature: a 3-micron-thick metallic layer over the races. This addition makes the races smoother and harder, lowering drag and increasing life.
The Standard Bearings have a friction drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, an average drag reduction of 75% compared to stock BBs and the result of smart design, including hardened-steel races and ceramic balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than other ceramic bearings. They also last longer.
Coated Bearings feature an even longer service life and feature even lower drag. Life increases by 60% and drag drops by 50% compared to our Standard.
All Round Grease is installed in the bearings. It can be replaced for lower-drag TT and Track Grease, or higher-durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in the bearing when riding through messy conditions.
In The Box:
- 2 cups with bearings installed
- 2 dust covers
- GXP wave washer
- Spacer tube
- 10ml syringe of CeramicSpeed All Round Grease
- Sticker sheet

BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm wide, 34mm inside diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit works with 24mm diameter cranks, found on cranks from Shimano, FSA, Rotor, and others.
Choose between two bearings for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our Ceramic balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag.
24mm spindles easily fit through the shell and allow for large bearings to be employed in the outside cups.
Put more of your energy into forward motion by reducing frictional drag wherever you can. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. CeramicSpeed balls are 100% smoother and 15% harder than ceramic competition. The bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings.
In The Box:
- 2 threaded cups with bearings
- 2 dust covers with built-in spacers
- Spacer tube
- 10mm syringe of All Round Grease
- Sticker sheet
