Pick Up, Shipping & Delivery Options

In-Store Pick Up

If you select in-store pickup or curbside pickup as your shipping option, we will contact you when your order is ready at your selected Conte's Bike Shop. You can order an item to be picked up at any location, but if it needs to be transferred from store to store please allow extra time. All online purchases picked up in store require verifying photo ID against the credit card used to make the purchase (if applicable). For curbside pick up, call your local Conte's when you arrive.

Shipping

Conte's Bike Shop will only ship orders within the United States. When placing an order, the billing address and shipping address must match. If you need to place an order and ship an item to a different address than your billing address, you must use PayPal at checkout.

Orders typically ship USPS or UPS Ground. Certain brands of bicycles must be delivered in person per supplier agreements, and cannot be shipped. Online orders require 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday) processing time.

Orders may take up to 2 weeks to arrive. We will do our best to let you know if your order is delayed for any reason.

We strongly recommend that every shipped bicycle be professionally rebuilt from the box and checked over prior to riding. Conte’s Bike Shop cannot be held liable for issues resulting from incorrect assembly.

Home Delivery

Every Conte’s Bike Shop offers doorstep delivery of any order over $100 within the delivery range for a fee of $35. For more information click here.

Transfers

In-State Store Transfers

Most items ordered online for in-store or curbside pick up qualify for transfer between in-state Conte’s Bike Shop locations at no additional charge. Some items may be excluded based on manufacturer agreements.

Store Transfers Between States

Complete bicycles may qualify for transfer between Conte’s Bike Shop locations in different states for an additional transfer fee of $95. Transfer fees are non-refundable. Some items may be excluded based on supplier agreements.

Returns

Return Policy for Orders Picked Up In-Store

  • You have 30 days from the date you pick up your order to return it
  • Products must be unused in their original packaging with all original tags
  • Sale and closeout items are not eligible for return

If you purchase a bike online for in store pick up and you decide that you do not want that bike when you come to collect it, you can return it for a full refund at that time. This does not apply to any bike that was modified per the customer’s request or a bike after it has been brought home. In addition, transfer fees are non-refundable.

  • You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a refund
  • Products must be unused in their original packaging with all original tags
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Customer is responsible for any return shipping costs
  • Sale and closeout items are not eligible for return

Once an order ships it cannot be canceled. To receive a refund after an order ships, you will have return it when it arrives to you.

Any item purchased online can be returned at any one of our stores. You do not need to contact us before returning an item in store.

Exchanges are not offered at this time for purchases made online. If you want to exchange an item, you will have to place an order for the item you want and send us back the item you do not want. Once we receive your return, we will process it as normal.

Backorders

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on the original order.

Security Information

Fraudulent Order Protection

Conte's Bike Shop has the right to cancel an order that appears fraudulent.  When ordering online, the billing address and shipping address must be the same. All online purchases picked up in store require verifying photo ID against the credit card used to make the purchase (if applicable).

Due to an increase in fraudulent activity, bike purchases over $1500 will require a mandatory validation transaction of ten cents on the purchasing credit card at pickup.

Information Security

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to view or access your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last four digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account. We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.

Additional Charges & Fees

Any additional charges or fees listed here but not shown or paid for during online checkout will be collected by a representative from Conte’s Bike Shop either in advance or at time of pickup. We make every effort to be transparent with any fees and apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused by fees that occur after an order has been placed.

Our online inventory updates as frequently as every 15 minutes. Feel free to call our store to check availability on any item before you place an order. We make every effort to maintain current, accurate prices in our online catalog. And we strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer here. We appreciate your understanding should any of the prices or other information provided be incorrect and regret any inconvenience such mistakes may create.
